HFT indicators of ferromagnetic objects
HFT systems are designed for ferromagnetic objects detection on the conveyor belts even in the extremely complicated operational conditions (climatic, vibration, dusty, but in the first place electromagnetic). Systems are able to differentiate a ferromagnetic object on the belt from the vibration and rotation of the conveyor rollers, sidewall vibrations, magnetic fields of electromotors, transformers, power cables, motion of excavator buckets etc.
From the signal aspect are systems wholly digital, including magnetic field sensors and the belt movement speed sensor. Digital signal processing offers an exceptional noise resistance against the industrial 50 Hz frequency, against impulses and a transitional phenomenon caused by the power facilities switching. The system also has an excellent stability of parameters, during its operation there are no dysfunctions that could result into the system operation interruptions or shut downs. In the ordinary operation the system works without the need of a keyboard and monitor, the system computer collects sensor signals and creates control signals (indications, technological processes control etc.) for the significant distances. The common terminal system part is ADAM 4060 enabling relay control.
HFT systems have a high-level auto diagnostics. The correct function of sensors, electronic blocks and of the computer is tested for the whole operational time. The system is supplied with the auto diagnostic program for the system functionality complex verification, for a debugging after the complete overhauls or after a potential failure.
The system records into its memory all operational modes (times of turning on, ferromagnetic object identifications and technological process reports, operating personnel reactions, times of failure detection and system parts with a failure). Also in case of the power supply blackout the system is shut down regularly, blocks the belt motion and creates a record about the event.
One of the most important advantages of the HFT system are small and easily interchangeable sensors placed under the belt. This is a significant difference in comparison with generally used iron detection systems that require frame coil constructions or large and heavy excitation systems. The system has a standard IP 56 cover, operational temperatures are from –10 to +60 degrees for the computer and from –25 to +70 degrees for sensors and the vibration resistibility is 0 – 500 Hz/10mm/1g.
The HFT system assembly includes:
Block of electronics:
- single board computer with DOC,
- system electronics with two digital magnetometer channels, revolution counter and deblocation channel,
- power supplies,
- air conditioning unit,
- central terminal block,
- LCD or EL display,
- controlling relays blocks.
Block of sensors:
- four magnetometer probes,
- revolution counter probe.
- operational (including diagnostic) application,
- service application.
